Launch Week Didn’t Go as Planned, and I Need to Talk About It

It’s been four days since we launched Cvr AI 2.0. Usually, this is the part where a founder posts a screenshot of a hockey-stick graph and talks about how they’re “crushing it.”

But in my quest to be transparent and truly build in public, I have to be honest with you: I am genuinely sad.

I’m sad because I know the value of what we’ve built. I’ve received multiple confirmations that this feature is a game-changer. But the turnout? The turnout has been really low.

The Cold Hard Numbers
I want to share the actual data because hiding it doesn’t help anyone. Here is what the funnel looked like over the last few days:

  • Reach: We reached approximately 3,000 people through the launch post and shares.
  • Views: We had about 800 page views.
  • Sign-ups: That resulted in 30 sign-ups.
  • Usage: Only 10 auto-apply applications were submitted.

Not 10 users. Just 10 applications submitted total.

For a feature we’ve spent the better part of five months building, that number hits hard. It’s a very poor conversion. I felt like I followed the playbook. I did the things you’re supposed to do. And yet, here we are.

The Gut Check
I’ve been doing a lot of deep thinking—obsessing, really—about how to fix this. The survival of the company lies on it.

We’ve barely started paid marketing (that’s coming this weekend), but even with organic reach, the math isn’t adding up. We did our market research. This shouldn’t be the result.

Despite the data, my gut tells me we are on the right track. I have a deep conviction that this is a good business model. I know this solves a real problem. But right now, there is a massive disconnect between the solution we built and the people who need it most.

I Need Help
I don’t know how to reach our ideal customers.

I’m saying this publicly because I want to fix it, and I know I can’t fix it alone. If you are reading this, and you’ve looked at Cver AI, or you’re tired of the job application grind, tell me:

  • Where did we lose you?
  • Is it the messaging?
  • Is it the trust?

I’m ready to listen. We built this to help you, but right now, I’m the one asking for help.
